Mark,
We have a 4234 in use right now, I'm not sure how similer the models
might be but these are the instructions I gave to the user's on changing
forms.

Press Stop/Reset.
Press New Page to remove old forms.
Open Top Lid, Open Tractor Doors, Push the Forms Thickness Lever until it
stops, and pull the Paper Release Lever until it stops.
Feed in new forms and close the Tractor Doors.
Push the Paper Release Lever until it stops.
Pull Forms Thickness Lever until it stops and push until the notch points at
the letter "C" (one extra letter per carbon copy, 2 pages would be "B").
Press New Page once and now use the Forms Advance Knob to feed the paper
through until the separation line on the paper is lined up with the notches
halfway up the Tractor Doors.
Now press Set Top Of Forms. You should notice the paper adjust itself.
Press New Page twice more to pass the paper the rest of the way through the
printer.
Press Start.
