Well, it could be a lot of things.  Your network admins may have turned the
public announce broadcasts and requires WINS lookup of registered hosts, or
your router is filtering out the SMB packets before they get to your
iseries, or......

I'd verify the WINS server in the Netserver config.  I *think* that this can
be you windows domain controller, but I'm not totally sure.  I know that
active directory changed almost everything I once thought I knew about this
stuff, so perhaps someone else could confirm this.....
