No I don't. But I'm assuming (perhaps wrongly so) that the DNS client on
the iSeries will cache responses, so you're not really going to the
network for repeated lookups like localhost.

As others have pointed out, a local HOSTS table will allow you to
override the DNS entries and do "special" things, however in the long
run I think these "special" things will just cause more trouble than
their worth.
