I had applied some PTF's about a month ago and Service Director setup worked after Universal Connection was setup through Navigator, but GO SERVICE failed from a green screen command line. I hope that's fixed by PTFs now.

Neil,
There are some PTF's required on the i5 side for iSeries Navigator and the Universal Connection Wizard. I was not able to get it to work until I applied them......
Go to the APAR database for V5R3 and search Universal Connection Wizard for
more info. There were at least a dozen APARs listed the last time I looked.
Regards,
Mike Shaw

If you mean you type GO SERVICE and get a ton of errors on green screen, welcome to the club.
If you are connecting through the web make sure you first go configure IBM
Universal Connection via iSeries Navigaptor.

The install of v5r3 seems to have removed 5798rzg and moved all of the settings into the new product. But I get numerous error when I try to use the various commands. Looks like a real can of worms.
