Rob,
You probably need to make sure the executable bit is set (chmod a+x /myfile.sh).
And you may need a line at the start of your script to tell the shell it's a script. Try inserting this at the top:
#!/usr/bin/sh
Also make sure the file is in the right character encoding for PASE to read it, ASCII, like CCSID 819.
