*MGTCOL's get damaged a lot and have a tendency to blow up library saves, 
like GO SAVE - 21.  I've had IBM working on this for months to not much 
success.  It's gotten to the point that when we do a full system save we
- bring the system to a dedicated state.
- CRTSAVF FILE(QTEMP/DAMNMGTCOL)
- SAVOBJ OBJ(*ALL) LIB(QMGTC2) DEV(*SAVF) OBJTYPE(*MGTCOL) 
SAVF(QTEMP/DAMNMGTCOL)
- Delete any that say they are damaged.

I'm not saying not to use them.  Just be prepared for "issues".
