HMC  makes a  fine partition console. I would not  make it  console 
to too many partitions of Systems as it then can become  the 
single  point of failure.  Second HMC  advised in these cases, 
and  remote  access  if appropriate via WebSM or  other  resources.

Our  clients  like HMC consoles.
