Not to mention that they you'll have one "standard" definition of a
formula. I recall a company where 1/2 the reports computed GP% one way
and 1/2 computed it another way and they had no idea why their reports
didn't match. What fun!

However, I have seen cases where removing a UDF and replacing it with
inline code significantly increased the performance of a query --
however, that UDF had incline selects that could be replaced w/a join
statement.
