Can't really help too much, but I have used FASTT.

In my previous life we used FASTT, but we had it hanging on a xServer not
an i.
I can tell you that the performance was outstanding. We were pumping tons
of video out to it and reading video from it at the same time, just stress
testing it trying to make it choke. We never succeeded, it was incredible.
The thing handle a HUGE load.

I know that it was pretty pricey as well.
Hope this helps a little bit.

i5 External Disk Questions

Does anyone use external Disk? I'm finding that I need to add a
tremendous amount of disk for an archive function. Internal disk works
great, but it's way more expensive than I can justify.

My vendor says they have used FASTT / EXP400 and JETSTORE, But I don't
know anything about any of these. One of my coworkers has spected out an
Xserver RAID solution from Apple Store.

What do I need to look at. What are the 'gotchas'. I know I saw
somewhere where there is a external disk 'problem' between i5s and fiber
attached disks of certain kinds. I just don't remember where I saw this
information.

Any input to increase my limited knowledge would be much appreciated.

Thanks
