The person runs a PC program, creating a PC file. This file must go
to
the iSeries once a week, and then be processed by a CLP program/

Ideas? Suggestions? Fantastic solutions?

One way I have done this is to set up a shared folder on the IFS, and
mapped it to a network drive on the PC. The PC user then runs their
software, and saves the output file to the IFS directory I've mapped for
them. They normally don't even realize that they're saving to the 400. In
my case, the user then runs a green screen batch job which processes the
data and emails them any records which need user intervention. They can
use a green screen application to fix any problems and then another batch
job to apply the transactions to our master file.

I don't know if it is "the best, most graceful way", but it has worked
well for me in the past.

HTH,
Adam
