Subject: RE: Printing to a Windows Print Server using IPP **SOLVED** The problem is that MS as usual ignores the standards. On the IPP device description, you need to use port 80 instead on the standard 631.
I wonder if anyone has ever counted up how many places MS ignores the standards on things? I'd say it must be deliberate, except MS is probably too incompetent to do even that correctly. It evidently just doesn't cross their minds that someone else just _might_ have done this before them and it's documented. That there was a whole world out there that did just fine thank you before MS existed. Or else they're too lazy to do it right. It must be obliviousness. <g>
