Richard - Do the 'lite' versions of .NET include an IDE? What languages are supported? Where can it be downloaded? Thanks! On 10/9/06, rob@xxxxxxxxx <rob@xxxxxxxxx> wrote:
Primarily Domino for web serving. About every other year we have a consultant come in, configure websphere, spend a day with us and ride off into the sunset. Then other priorities ensue and it fades off. Lather. Rinse. Repeat. We are doing no Windows development. I know you use Domino, but are you also using Websphere or what type of Web or Windows dev is your team doing ? The Lite versions of .Net are now all FREE, so it definitely wouldn't hurt to pad the resume :-) Regards, Richard Schoen RJS Software Systems Inc. "Providing Your....iNFORMATION NOW!" Why then would I? - To see if company maybe needs to look at it? I'm not timid. If I feel that way about a product I'll approach the chain. - To know the devil and argue intelligently against it? No thanks, I don't hang out at satanic cult meetings either. Also, it's hard for me to concentrate when I am not enthused. - To pad my resume'? Gain a little knowledge for side work? Actually had a head hunter call me just this week on a .net position. Some local company going that way with their i. I'm pretty happy here and don't see any changes coming. Training for a MS product for something a few years out can be a waste of time, with the technology constantly changing and all. But COMMON may be different. Bigger spread of people. Just like our LUG didn't have enough people in the "system level" to care about the topics Al Barsa presents to justify paying his expenses, but COMMON has a larger spread and he packs them in there.
