Bonnie, I think you have answered your own question. IIRC, the : is the
pause when using V25BIS autodial standard.

On our V5R3 system we dial out to some of our customers. ATT has changed
the pause time between the dialed number and the security code.

I currently have the connection number set up with the max like:
CNNNBR('SST9:19999999999==========9999')

I have a call into IBM software support to see how I can lengthen this but
often the list is faster. Is there another character to indicate pause?
