Thanks for the list of codes. IBM could only provide 2. I think the
change ATT made was to shorten the time and we had all those pauses.
Either ATT reset their change or fewer ='s now work.

I found the an old V.3400 modem manual that has the V25BIS autodial
parms in
it:
: - wait for dial tone
- pause for 1 second
= - pause for 3 seconds
< - pause for programmed delay time
I assume the program delay time can be configured somewhere in the
memory of
the modem, but I don't know where. What kind of modem as you using?
