How does one determine "user based pricing" on EDI? Normally no one ever
looks at any screens, providing the orders show up in their system. If a
user pitches a gripe then, at most, one or two people from IS will check
out the screens in the package. Like this example: Multiple divisions on
the same lpar. All with their own data library secured to them. One
division deals with a customer that requires EDI.
There are 'A' i5 user profiles.
There are 'B' BPCS profiles.
There are 'C' of these in this one division.
Only 'D' of these are involved in order entry. None of them ever touch
the EDI software.
Only 'E' people from IS touch EDI. If they charged $25,000/user these two
would probably share the user id.
