I know this topic has been discussed before (beaten to
death) and I am not asking for a lengthy discussion about
IBM and
how they messed up with renaming the AS/400.
What I would like is suggestions from the IBM midrange
community on the following:
We are in the process of rewriting our web site and all of
our marketing material.
Currently we make reference to:
Developers of software for the AS/400
Our Software runs on the AS/400
Etc. Etc.
We would like to move forward to the 21st century now and
market it with the
correct name(s). We still have software that was installed
years ago on an AS/400 and it still runs on those machines.
We have more up to date software for the newer Systems.
I would like to hear suggestions on the correct way to write
the fact that we offer software for the AS/400, System i,
iSeries, i5 etc. etc.
If you were in the market for software what would you like
to see on a vendors web site when they are referencing the
hardware their software runs on.
Please keep in mind that not all IBM customers are on the
latest and greatest version of this platform.
Would it read:
.software for the AS/400, System i, iSeries, i5
Thanks
John
