One way to prevent joblogs from being produced for the ENDJOB for
disconnected jobs is to do the following:
- CHGSYSVAL QDSCJOBITV *NONE /* Do not end disconnected jobs */
- Optionally implement a process to replace the prior QDSCJOBITV
action of terminate after 20 minutes. That process would either issue
the request to ENDJOB LOGLMT(0) against jobs that were disconnected for
the desired length of time, or effect SIGNOFF *NOLIST from within those
jobs.
Note: Investigation suggests that the ENDJOB *CMD is probably [it was
a very limited investigation] not used by the system processing which
terminates a disconnected job. Thus a trick like CHGCMDDFT ENDJOB
'LOGLMT(0)' would presumably not assist; my limited investigation did
not include attempting that as a test.
