I have found a defect in Rexx on OS/400. I have a test case to prove
it. It appears to have been broken for ever. It's slightly obscure. I
don't want a PTF for the problem. I do want to inform IBM (Rochester)
so it can be tracked, prioritised, and fixed in a future release. How
can I do that if I don't have a current Software Maintenance
Agreement (or whatever it's called now)?

I tried reporting it "Using the Internet" as described on:
http://www.ibm.com/servers/eserver/support/iseries/fixes/basicswsupport.html

via the Software Service Request link but that just got me a call
from IBM Support saying I wasn't current on maintenance and they
couldn't help.

Please... do share :-) Last time I had checked, the SQL RENAME TABLE still did not work from REXX, so I had to use RNMOBJ.

Word the /problem/ as a documentation issue for a link in the docs, and report it via the electronic Reader Comment from InfoCenter. That process requires that they reply to you [according to your wishes as I recall] with regard to the required documentation correction. Worded properly, I am sure they will forward it to the support team as a code correction. Also, if you send me an email, I can forward the details to [someone who I know that can forward it to] the proper contact.

Regards, Chuck
