Josh,

Have you tried using any of the new JDKs? I have heard that there
was supposed to be up to 60-70% performance improvement at V6R1 with the
latest JDKs. Love to hear your experience or anyone else who has changed
their JDKs.

Pete

Subject: System performance

After monitoring system performance via Ops Nav for a couple of weeks, I've
noticed that we have occassional slow response times for individual jobs,
occassional spikes in CPU and memory usage, Disk IOP and Disk arm usage are
steady. On the whole the system seems to be keeping up fine. Still,
performance of our java based ERP software is slow, sometimes exceptionally
slow. Is there something I can take a look at hardware-wise to determine if
there are issues that need to be resolved?

We've isolated the problem such that I'm pretty sure the performance issue
is on the I5, is there some kind of advisor that will monitor your workload
and recommend the appropriate hardware?

We've already optimized as much as we know how in software (building
indexes, etc).
