Hah, I just learned something. I'd always thought Notepad was plain
ASCII and WordPad had multi-language support so I didn't bother
looking at the 'Save as' options in Notepad. Looks like Notepad has at
least the same language/encoding support as WordPad except for
different line endings. Excellent!
