I am getting this error when trying to generate an SSH key pair for a user profile.
ssh-keygen -t rsa
Couldn't get password entry for current user (4199): File name too long
ssh-rand-helper child produced insufficient data
$
We are setting up this user and its ssh key to be used for a batch SFTP session.
The user has been created as *USER with no special authorities.
Their home and .ssh directories have been created with the following authorities:
ls -l
total 144
drwxrwsrwx 3 4199 0 8192 Sep 13 10:31 Edinsight
ls -al
total 64
drwxrwsrwx 3 4199 0 8192 Sep 13 10:31 .
drwxrwsrwx 7 qsys 0 8192 Sep 13 09:57 ..
-rw----rwx 1 4199 0 214 Sep 13 14:50 .sh_history
drwx--S--- 2 4199 0 8192 Sep 13 10:31 .ssh
$
I am signed in under this user when running the ssh-keygen command.
Any assistance would be appreciated.
