Yes, you're missing a lot. Users only gain access to what you explicitly configure for them under the Apache based server. Otherwise they gain access to nothing but a socket connection to the HTTP server port. The whole topic of security is really broad, but I'd suggest that most sites would be more secure under IBM i, than any other platform.
