Hi, Kurt.

I understand you're frustration. Probably best to contact IBM for a
feature request or post the question to them.

But, if you're open to an inexpensive 3rd party product, our MAILTOOL (
www.bvstools.com/mailtool.html) will allow you to specify the message in
many different ways. The message can be text or HTML:

1. On the command (limited to 4k bytes)
2. Using the API to set it by variable (limited to 65k)
3. Using the API to set it with a pointer (limited to 16meg)
4. As a already created stream file (no limit in size)

We also have plugins available for GMail, Office 365 either through SMTP or
OAuth 2.0 as well as SSL, TLS and authentication support for pretty much
any locally hosted or cloud based email service. We also just updated so
that the MAILTOOL Distribution list feature works with the base product,
not only MAILTOOL Plus.

Lots of other features too. MAILTOOL has grown from a simple email utility
to what it is today mainly because of customer requests as well as what we
need to run our business from our IBM i.

Hi,

I've been using SNDSMTPEMM for emailing from our Power 7 and it works
great with one caveat: the message (NOTE) is limited to 400 characters.
Add in html for formatting the email and it adds up pretty quickly. I was
wondering if there was a limitation to the design of the command or if it's
possible to see the NOTE size expanded on in the future?

Thanks,
