So, you advocate for business rules enforcement be across several variants?  RPG, Java, HTML, JavaScript, PHP, .net, etc?  When a business rule is modified several varying interfaces all need to be changed, tested, and synched?

I am not against the new stuff out there; I embrace it.  On the other hand I see nothing being gained by requiring that enhanced 5250 designs and features be ignored and ridiculed.

This is our platform; if _we_ don't advocate for it why would anyone else?

As a matter of interest ( I have no idea of the facts)... Are there still lots and lots of 5250 sessions out there, running day after day?  Or has 5250 usage become insignificant?

The same up to a point, because in web we can deliver much more than in
5250, and also prettier and more "like people is used to" in modern systems.
