I cannot tell you why you are experiencing something different than I am while using Alt+Space bar. I don't have the issue reported as my display settings don't hide the filter pop up but using Alt+Space bar myself works just fine.

Maybe the display settings need to be changed to allow for more items to be seen. This might mean (if you use windows) to change the test size back to 100% if its not there or change the resolution.

Alternatively, you can use Alt+O to select Ok button.
