My Windows 7 desktop does the same thing. The dialogue will move off the
screen, but snaps back when you ENTER, click, etc.

I was going to suggest the Alt+Spacebar trick but when I tried it myself, I
couldn't get the window to stay "off of the screen". When I hit any key,
moved the mouse, etc. the window slid down to show the titlebar at the top
of the screen. Is there another piece of this trick that I am not aware
of?
