I've always lived by QTEMP at the top of the LIBL. But at one shop, some 12 years ago, we had a payroll package where the vendor insisted that qtemp MUST be at the END of the LIBL.
PITA.

That is my argument exactly. To make things worse, there are some jobd's here that specify qgpl first (then qtemp) and others have the reverse. Consistency would be nice!

I prefer it to be the first library in the user list. That way I
don't need to do OVRDBFs and don't have to qualify it. I can put a
temp version of a program in there and it gets called without needing
to mess with the program calling it or qualifying it. I've worked
places that it wasn't and it really screwed with me.

All,

I've always been of the mindset that qtemp should be higher in
the library list than qgpl. Do you all have any thoughts/insight about this?
