Javier,

You cannot put $1 in the 3rd parameter to REGEX_REPLACE -- that 
parameter is an integer, it can only contain numbers.

Also, the [A-Za-z] would be correct -- these are the characters you wish 
to replace, and they are to be replaced with a '' (empty string).  So 
the letters would be removed.

Changing it to have a caret in front [^A-Za-z] would do the opposite of 
what he wants -- it'd remove anything aside from A-Z.

Please take a moment to test out your suggestions before posting them. 
I understand that it is easy for you to get confused (it happens to 
everyone), but it's even worse for someone who hasn't done it before, so 
taking a moment to verify your thoughts before posting can save people a 
lot of time.
