Be somewhat careful. It's just three knobs but given "timing" being a factor, it could be easy to trigger something undesirable and unrepeatable. In turn possibly making it hard to guess what happened and how to revert it.
That would explain something weird that happened last week while trying to enable 65+21 I once (and only once) got a "0?" on the front panel, indicating the "Are you sure you want to proceed?" kind of question.
One last bit of info is after IPL I get a A9002000 error on the front panel "If the system displays this SRC, it typically means that a console was not found by the IBM® i operating system."
At any rate, from what I gathered so far, I'm leaning towards finding and operations cable first, that sounds like the safest option.
