Hi,

Markus Litters and his team showed a RPG Outline view last year at POW3R conference in Wuerzburg (Germany) - some weeks later they also showed it at one of the Code for i Fridays.

Their outline view does all this - referencing lines, modifying lines, referenced prototypes and if you like even a direct jump into the implementation of a procedure in a service program.

I don't know how this is going forward - but I also seen some demo of features like that lately in the "official" Code for i extension.

Regards,
Daniel

Yes, beside proc/routine, indicators , DS navigation, a reasonable outline (like of rdi) should clearly mark where the var is referenced and - most importantly - (M)oved /set.

Usually you can have tens of reference to lines of codes that use the var, but you are after who alters it and with that you pinpoint in an instant.
We don't need AI for that ;P
