Put it on a network and backup to the network, or use Norton to uninstall,
cleanup and fix the Win98 installation without wiping out the data.

Subject: [PCTECH] Backup data from a laptop

Hi list!

I need to help a friend who has a laptop at his church to project images
with MS
PowerPoint only. It has Win/98 with a lot of unneeded stuff in there. It
is
giving a lot of trouble at this time. I told him about initialize the HD
and
replace the OS. The only trouble we have is that it only has a CD reader
and a
floppy drive 3.5. How can I do a backup of all his user data without be
involved in any extra cost?

Obviously, I just have five floppies in a little box somewhere...

Ready to receive advices...

Best regards and a much better weekend for all!
