Thanks to all who responded.

I have already installed and tested Firefox on my own pc the whole 
weekend, and I must say it does indeed seem to be as good as, if not 
better than, IE.

However, my wife uses the same PC, and she's not yet comfortable with the 
changes.

What I did notice is that the 'use Firefox as default browser' option is 
set on a computer basis, not per user account.

Has anybody found a way to circumvent this, so that I can use Firefox as 
default, and my wife can continue using IE until she's more comfy with FF?
