Ah, you're actually dealing w/Word's AutoCorrect/AutoComplete code, not
simple national language settings. 

In English the months must be capitalized, so all lowercase also flags a
spelling error, I guess that's not the case in Spanish.

In any case, I Word's international file is .../Office11/1033/wwintl.dll
Where 1033 is the language code for English, not sure what's yours would
be. However, I don't think that's where the logic is since I changed the
word December in that file to decembre and I couldn't get autocomplete
to use the new value. The Automcomplete logic is somewhat complicated so
it's probably spread over several lines in a DLL and not too easy to
find. 

Is there an option on your auto-complete menu to capitalize month names?
