Thunderbird doesn't have a calendar option per se ... but just like Firefox,
there are dozens of extensions and I bet there are some related to
calendars.
I have a pretty "clean" installation of Thunderbird. The only extensions I
have are Update Notifier (to let you know when updates are available) and
WebMail (for yahoo / hotmail accounts). From my point of view, it's a
slight step down from Outlook because it doesn't have the calendar and tasks
(or 2007's To-Do Bar) integrated right into it, but it is *way* better than
Outlook Express. I use Outlook at work and Thunderbird at home. I really
like the flexibility it has. The original topic talked about how to set up
accounts to go to different Inboxs. I personally like it the opposite way -
all my email accounts go into one inbox and I just use filters to separate
them into different folders. As an email client, I'd highly recommend it...

I thinking about installing Thunderbird on my PC and am trying to
workout in my mind how I want it set up before attempting the install.
I am thinking about it to as I am having a lot of trouble with Outlook. Is
the calendaring any good? How reliable is the mail client? Etc. etc. Any
thought from experienced users welcome.
