I don't know about B&N books, but I know you can add other books via the USB
port.

I have the version that only uses Wifi, it does not have a separate on

rather than turn it off and the battery lasts about a week between
recharges. I read about 600 pages a week on it so you can gauge your
own battery use. The really cool think about the nook is it only uses
battery when the screen changes, or the Wifi is on.

I have think you can tether the device to your PC to upload books in the
absence of Wifi but I have not tried is since my house is well covered
with WiFi, (my own).

Are their carrier fees with these things or can you use a home wireless

Subject: Re: [PCTECH] Kindle vs Nook?

My wife book me a Nook, and I really like it as well. The only complaint
I have is the screen is not quite large enough for a full page from a
printed book so the page numbers sometimes get a bit confusing.
That may be a bit of a vote for a Kindle, but the difference in price was
sufficient to push her off to the Nook.

Either way I don't think you can go wrong.

Hello Tom,

My wife and i use the kindle and yes, you can get magazines,
news papers and blogs on the kindle... We really like it - it
seems to be kinder on the eyes than back-lit readers.
