Also when doing that upgrade, make sure to completely remove any VPN
packages like Cisco, Watchgard, Checkpoint, etc. and then reinstall them.

Win10 chokes on those and will not install properly issuing Al Barsa's
MAKEAMESS command.......

Windows 7 has image backup built in. I've used it many times. Make sure
you have a repair disk as well. If you need to restore the image you've got
to boot from the repair disk.
