That is an excellent point Nathan.  Our programmers have adapted well and
like the benefits of using WDSC as their environment, but as far as SEU
being completely dropped, that's not desirable.  With WDSC (and i'm
imagining RDi to be very similar) being such a complex install and
environment (that runs on Windows!), there are times when components of it
flat out BREAK and are unavailable until IBM can suggest the correct
fix/resolution.  SEU needs to stay as a rock solid last ditch tool that is
always available in a pinch.

Not me.  I see PDM as the thin-client interface.  I see RDi as the
THICK-CLIENT interface.  People can access PDM with a 50kb Telnet
client.  PC requirements are minimal.  You can use a terminal or
thin-client device - including mobile hand-held devices.
For me, dropping PDM would be roughly akin to dropping native menus and
command line interfaces in favor of iSeries Navigator.
Now, if someone were to come out with a thin browser-based alternative,
that might be a reason for dropping PDM.
