Just look at what happened with their first stab at named user licensing
for the new 515 and 525 i5 models... it was switched to concurrent based
licensing virtually before the boxes even hit the street! For this type of
product (especially considering how it has been treated to date in terms of
licensing), concurrent licensing is definitely the way to go.

Regarding SEU, not only developers use SEU here. We have a full time
operator who uses it to edit FMTDTA specs and the like. We also have
two people who serve as his backup when he's on holiday. That's three
additional seats for ADTS, right?

Which is one of the reasons why named licensing will be a disaster.
Another
is employee turnover in a shop the size of mine. We need to convince IBM
that concurrent licensing is the right way to go.
