Hi David in answer to your question no there isn't 5250 access in there you
will really look at products like the new WebFacing interface or host on
demand to work alongside Web Access.

Did you have a read of the article I sent you? If you do it will sort of
explain what's going on with the webserver. The config should have a line
called nametrans in there and this will point all requests at the WebSphere
Application Server, which is then going to look for the application
/webaccess its nothing at all do with the webserver config. WebSphere is
acting as a plugin and will process those requests that it can handle from
in its configuration. This is why you MUST have the application server
instance running for Web Access and right now by the sounds of it you don't.
The two jobs you have started are just the admin jobs for your WAS node on
port 900.

You need to start the WAS console up (not through a browser), have a look at
the article on WAS 3.021 which we are in the process of updating to V3.5 in
the middle of this page.

http://www.ignite400.org/html/iseries_websphere.htm

The article is in two parts but will take you through getting in with the
WAS console first, which you will typically install on a PC running either
NT or 2000. You should have a CD around which has the product on there if
you have not installed it. Also check what release of WAS you are on they
must be the same on the 400 and PC side. When you have console access then
go in and fire up the application server iWaWebAccessServer, and also the
default server if you want to see some of the sample servlets. Then you will
be able to get in.

Don't worry about whats in the webserver just make sure your WebSphere side
is running.

Thanks Bleddyn

I created a separate instance per the docs - running on port 5098. I did
choose the settings you refer to. Subsystem QEJB/QEJBSBS was running. The
following two jobs show as running in the subsystem - QEJBADMIN and
QEJBMNTR. The subsystem QHTTPSVR is running, with jobs for instance DEFAULT
and instance IWAALPHA.
