Joe I agree with you kinda but not really. My company deals with B2B and
B2C and they are actually the same thing(in my case). The "businesses" we
deal with ask for the same ridiculous stuff as the customers we deal with.
These two words (B2B and B2C) have their place but for the most part you
never hear tech people talking about them unless they really aren't tech
people. We as tech people obviously have a different perspective on
everything because we read zines that have code in them and not the latest
and greatest technology buzzwords.

Go ahead and ask you manager if they have a solid understanding of XML, not
how to code it but a solid understanding. We have managers in my company
that think it is the _only_ venue we should pursue for all of our data
manipulation. XML has its place but in the case of this manager he had been
reading too much of the wrong zine.

They are most definately not the same thing. I've worked in both worlds and
they are as different as day and night. In my B2B experience, people are at
work doing thier job (i.e. ordering with a PO and large quantites). In B2C,
they are at home (at least they are supposed to be) ordering personal
products from a catalog. I know these are overly simple definitions. At
work, the purchasing agent is using a common laptop and most likely MSIE or
Netscape. At home he's using what ever the high school kid at Best Buy
talked him in to. If you think B2B and B2C are the same, then I say you've
only worked in one of those worlds.

It's not an arguement. It's an opinion.

Second, B2C and B2B are the same thing. Depending on your point of view.
Just buzzwords made up to make non-techs feel cool saying. <bg> I hate
them. "Virtual Cohesion" is the latest one that I have hanging in my cube.
