George Farr, Stefano Sergi, Claus Weiss and Bob Cancilla all proclaim the
continued investment in RPG as a strategic language for the System i, and
the advances in RPG over the past decade are indisputable proof of that
investment.

I am glad they are still enhancing the language, but if one were to compare
it to the facetime other tooling/language(s) get (of those slated for the
System i5) it really looks pitiful. Would be interesting to hear what those
individuals you mentioned have to say about the 5 year outlook for RPG.
Awhile back George was making some exciting comments about RPG enhancements
at trade shows (i.e. RPGWorld and System i Developer) but as I understand it
those initiatives have died (i.e. EXUI opcode or something like that)

I think action speaks louder than words in this case.

Given your love for RPG, can you say you have heard cool things coming down
the pipe for that language?
