I have recently bought a MacBook and put the stuff I must have from Windows in a virtual machine (first under VirtualBox and now under VMWare Fusion which is a really nice product). Both XP and Windows 2000 (the latter is the leanest plus it does not have validation issues when you do stuff with your virtual machine).

The Mac "just works" and Windows is confined to its little sandbox - in your situation I would then install WSDCi in it. In your current problem I would do the same with a 32-bit Windows - perhaps Virtual PC would be nice?

You would then get as much memory as you can afford and the box can hold. That will end up save you money :)

It also allows you to work with nasty programs without compromising your stable laptop which is really NICE.
