I agree fully with this. The only exception being that my feed reader is
open almost all day as well. To me, Google Reader is another inbox. I scan
the headlines, star those that are interesting, and mark all as read. I go
back to the stared items, and read and take action (if it is needed). Almost
exactly the same thing I do in Gmail for mailing lists.

The method of Web 2.0 is "push the content to me" and don't make me go and
to get it, because I won't and you won't make money.
