Since apparently they do not want the customers to know it exists, it is quite hard to talk about. Additionally you pay up front, which means that you have a very hard time getting new customers who usually can get by with a Linuxbox and a small database.

I frankly have no idea why IBM does it like that, but I guess there is a reason :)
