When Open I/O becomes generally available, I'd like to see I/O handlers for MS SQL Server as well as browser "devices", to enable RPG programmers to "read" from MS SQL tables, and "write" to browsers, and visa versa. That would be interesting. A lot of IBM i blood loss, as far as migration of applications to Windows is concerned, can be attributed to IBM i support for ODBC and JDBC interfaces. What if there were native RPG interfaces to MS SQL Server?
