This is so very true and unfortunately the basis of way too many
hardware/software platform decisions at companies.
"The IT guy says he used Windows at home so let's use that for the
company."
That scenario is all too familiar.

The IBM i is a business platform. Its not a consumer platform. It never
has been, and I don't believe it ever will be.
I agree it is a business platform, but also believe it should start
addressing *some* aspects of being a consumer platform. Why? Because
you can't get new blood/talent/resources into the profession if people
don't have simple access to the platform.
