I agree it is a business platform, but also believe it should start
addressing *some* aspects of being a consumer platform. Why? Because
you can't get new blood/talent/resources into the profession if people
don't have simple access to the platform.

Nobody can work with IBM i for fun and learning unless somebody paid money for them to be able to (to my understanding). This means that all the _really_ bright kids becoming super programmers will not, ever, consider using this platform at all, because when they can have just as interesting toys for free.
