That struck me too. I didn't mention it because I hate to bear negative news
about the platform. On the other hand I don't see Oracle having a strategic
interest in IBM i, either. Give away MySQL so IBM can make money off it?

I think Scott's comment is accurate if modified to say "Nobody is _paying_ to use this tool." I suspect that the problem is two-fold. First folks are using the Community Edition and not paying for service. Second that Oracle are pulling support from every platform considered a competitor to its new empire. Or rather to those platforms that are a threat and don't represent a sufficient revenue stream to counter that.
