I've never used it, but isn't there a component of Domino called Internet 
Cluster Manager for the http end of the HA thing ?

I have had a customer run their production Domino environment on Windows 
with a Linux Domino server as the cluster (Domino clustering) and had that 

test out fine.

I would also add that if the applications are web based, that will also 
add to the complexity of the solution since that is not handled by Domino 
clustering.
