Our customer service department decided that if they could not reach a
merchant, they would enter 11/11/11 for the new account call date. We later
received a request to exclude this special date on reports. (Blank dates
meant they have not called, while future dates was when to call back.)
Under the covers the century is 20.  (< 70 = 20) & (>=70 = 19)  I guess I
have a few years until it bites me. This is the type of things that happen
when users have their way.

A few places that I worked at used 9/9/99 to mean the end of time. Was this
a very common practice or was I just lucky enough to work at a
disproportionate sample? If it is common, the end of time is this month, is
anyone on this list worried about it?

Bill
